Thanksgiving 2022 | TBD | 1204 12th St. W., Bradenton
The Salvation Army will be hosting its annual dinner for the needy. Volunteers will be serving meals on Thanksgiving day, which will include turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green beans, salad, and pie. However, COVID times will present a different look and feel – instead of welcoming guests into the dining room, meals will be served in to-go food containers outside of the facility. Donations are still being accepted for frozen turkeys, as well as non-perishable items such as stuffing, rolls, and pies. For more info click

December 17, 2022 | Sarasota National Cemetery
Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Sarasota National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,500 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad. You can help by sponsoring a veterans’ wreath at a cemetery near you, volunteering, or donating to a local sponsorship group. Register to volunteer or donate

MAKE A DONATION, CHANGE A CHILD’S LIFE
Since 1947, the mission of Toys for Tots has been to assist the U.S. Marine Corps in providing a tangible sign of hope to economically disadvantaged children at Christmas by collecting new unwrapped toys and distributing those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas.
Bring the joy of Christmas and send a message of hope to America’s less fortunate children. Help UAP and Toys for Tots reach their goal with your generous donations. To learn how to volunteer or support the event, click
