Lakewood Ranch Luxury: Welcome to Paradise

There’s luxury… and then there’s Lakewood Ranch luxury.

Everyone already knows Lakewood Ranch is beautiful, but what’s it really like behind those private gates? Today, we’re taking you on a little tour of some of its most exclusive and luxurious neighborhoods — places where elegance, comfort, and craftsmanship meet.

We’ll explore The Lake Club, Wild Blue, The Country Club of Lakewood Ranch, and Country Club East. And before we wrap up, we’ll highlight John Cannon Homes, a legendary name in Sarasota’s luxury home scene, and the two exclusive neighborhoods he’s currently building in.

If we haven’t met yet, I’m Lisa McBride with Sarasota Neighborhood Experts. My team and I love helping families buy and sell homes in Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch. Give me a call, follow along, or subscribe — I still love picking up the phone and talking with you!

The Lake Club: Timeless Elegance

For nearly two decades, The Lake Club has set the standard for luxury living in Lakewood Ranch. Developed by Stock Builders, this 1,500-acre community is made up of five distinctive enclaves and over 700 custom-built estates.

When you drive through, you’re welcomed by brick roadways, graceful bridges, and lush green landscapes. No two homes look alike — each is a statement of design and individuality.

Builders include Stock Luxury, John Cannon, Lee Wetherington, Anchor, Nutter Homes, and Heritage Homes. Prices range from $2 million to $6.5 million, with an average of around $3.5 million as of 2025.

Amenities? They’re as exceptional as the homes:

  • A 22,000 sq. ft. Grand Clubhouse with fine dining, a spa, and a fitness center

  • Two resort-style pools

  • Pickleball and tennis courts with on-site pros

  • A yoga lawn, playground, and year-round social events

Each enclave — Genoa, Matera, Vineyards, Lakeview Estates, and Anchorage Place — has its own character, yet all share a sense of serenity and prestige.

If luxury, privacy, and architectural beauty are on your wish list, The Lake Club is a must-see.

Wild Blue: Waterfront Wonder

Just across University Parkway lies Wild Blue, another masterpiece by Stock Developers.

It’s smaller and more intimate than The Lake Club, with fewer than 600 homes — but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in spectacular water views. Many homes sit directly on expansive lakes, creating postcard-perfect backdrops from every angle.

Top builders include John Cannon, Stock Luxury, and AR Homes. A new phase of lots is being released now, so it’s a great time to explore if you’re eyeing a waterfront property.

Coming soon: a 30,000 sq. ft. amenity center with multiple dining venues, a golf simulator, theater room, and fitness studio. Until then, residents enjoy Midway Park, complete with pickleball, tennis, basketball, and a kayak launch.

Homes range from 2,900 to 7,000 sq. ft., blending modern design with easy lakeside living.

The Country Club Lifestyle

Country Club of Lakewood Ranch

If golf and community are at the top of your list, the Country Club of Lakewood Ranch might be your perfect fit.

This established, guard-gated neighborhood features four championship golf courses, three clubhouses, 20 tennis courts, 20 pickleball courts, and a full slate of social activities. You’ll also find fitness centers, pools, and membership options for every lifestyle.

Developed over 20 years ago and home to over 1,800 residences, it includes luxury properties from premier builders like John Cannon, Arthur Rutenberg, Neal Signature Homes, Lee Wetherington, and Todd Johnson.

Homes typically start around $2 million and can reach $6 million, many with sweeping golf or lake views.

Country Club East

Just down the road, Country Club East offers a newer take on the same refined lifestyle. It features The Retreat, an amenity center with a resort pool and fitness facility — ideal for residents who prefer not to join the full golf club.

Homes here range in age from 3 to 15 years, blending fresh designs with mature landscaping and peaceful surroundings.

John Cannon Homes: The Gold Standard in Luxury

No discussion about Sarasota luxury would be complete without mentioning John Cannon Homes.

Since 1987, John Cannon has built some of the region’s most stunning custom estates — from Longboat Key to The Concession and Founders Club. His craftsmanship is legendary, and his homes reflect timeless design and superior detail.

In Lakewood Ranch, Cannon is currently building in two ultra-exclusive neighborhoods:

  • Monarch Acres — A private, gated enclave of only eight estate lots (½ to 1 acre each) surrounded by lush preserves. Homes range from 4,500 to 8,500 sq. ft. and are true personal resorts.

  • Kingfisher Lake Estates — Located in Waterside, this boutique community offers just 13 waterfront lots, each with the option for a private boat dock. Residents can even boat directly to Waterside Place for dining and entertainment.

These are the kinds of homes that redefine luxury — designed for those who want something truly exceptional.

Final Thoughts

Whether your heart leans toward the timeless elegance of The Lake Club, the modern beauty of Wild Blue, the social energy of Country Club living, or the bespoke artistry of John Cannon Homes, Lakewood Ranch offers an extraordinary way of life.

It’s not just luxury — it’s paradise redefined.
