Sarasota’s Top New Construction Neighborhoods: Discover My 5-Star Favorites

Curious about my favorite new construction neighborhoods in Sarasota? Let’s dive right in! I’m Lisa McBride, a Sarasota realtor, and YouTuber, and I’m here to share my top picks with you. If you have a favorite new construction location, I’d love to hear about it. Let’s get started!

Taylor Morrison: Resort Lifestyle Communities

One of my favorite builders is Taylor Morrison, known for its resort lifestyle communities. While not exclusively for those aged 55 and above, these communities tend to attract residents in that age group. Taylor Morrison is a nationwide home builder that has been providing excellent customer service and a wide range of floor plans and communities since 2007. Esplanade, their flagship community, is incredibly popular in our area. With 4 Esplanade communities under construction and 2 already completed, these neighborhoods are highly desired and offer a variety of floor plans to suit today’s consumers.

Neal Homes: Building Homes Buyers Love

Neal Homes is a Florida-based home builder with over 50 years of experience. They develop villas, townhomes, and single-family homes that buyers love. One of their notable communities is Avelina, a private, gated boutique community offering 96 homes with British West Indies and Coastal architectural styles. Another community worth mentioning is Aria, an Italian-inspired community in Venice. With luxurious home designs, resort-style amenities, and beautiful surroundings, Neal Homes truly knows how to create exceptional communities.

Toll Brothers: Attention to Detail and Variety

Toll Brothers is a renowned builder operating in over 20 states and is consistently recognized as one of the top-ranking builders nationwide. Their attention to detail, variety of floor plans, and customer focus make them a favorite among many homebuyers. Currently, Toll Brothers are developing The Isles in Lakewood Ranch and Solstice in Wellen Park, both offering beautiful homes. While Toll Brothers neighborhoods may not have as many amenities as some other communities, their focus on quality and design shines through in their homes.

M/I Homes: Beautiful Subdivisions and Up-and-Coming Communities

M/I Homes is another notable builder in the Sarasota area. While they have several beautiful subdivisions, I want to highlight two up-and-coming communities. The first is Sweetwater, an ideal community that may sometimes be overlooked. M/I is building a grand neighborhood with over 500 single-family and villa homes, featuring various floor plans to suit different needs. The second community is Nautique at Waterside, which is coming soon and will offer rear-load townhomes in a prime location. These communities showcase M/I Homes’ commitment to providing beautiful homes and well-designed neighborhoods.

D.R. Horton at Star Farms: An Amazing Community

Last but not least, I want to mention Star Farms, a community being built by D.R. Horton. Although D.R. Horton is known for building base model homes, Star Farms is an exception. This gated 700-acre community will feature over 1500 homes, 30 different floor plans, and 4 robust community centers. With a brand new school being constructed nearby, Star Farms offers a range of amenities, including a restaurant, coffee shop, walking paths, and more. The Resort Club, Cabana Corner, Junction Place, and Adventure Retreat are just some of the exciting features this community has to offer.

In Conclusion

These are just a few of my favorite new construction builders and communities in Sarasota. Remember, there are numerous great builders and communities in the area, and it ultimately depends on what you’re looking for in a neighborhood.
