Deborah Barrett is the Transaction Coordinator for Sarasota Neighborhood Experts. She brings over 34 years of residential real estate experience to the team. 

Deborah is a south Florida native, born and raised in Miami.  She began her real estate experience working as a REALTOR’s assistant during high school.  Knowing that she wanted to continue working in the industry, Deborah became a licensed Florida REALTOR in 1993. She worked for several years with Century 21 in the Florida Keys, helping list and sell waterfront homes in the Upper Keys. In 2002, she joined ERA South Dade Realty in Palmetto Bay, a Village along the southeast coast of Miami-Dade county. There she enjoyed serving as a REALTOR and the Relocation Director, for 19 years. 

Deborah and her husband, Jimmy, became empty nesters in 2018 when their son, Chase, went off to college. Ready to start their retirement home search, they visited numerous communities up and down the entire Florida peninsula. They quickly fell in love with the Sarasota area.  In 2019, they purchased their waterfront weekend home just off of the Manatee River, and then happily made the move permanent in 2021.

Still having the desire to help sellers and buyers find their new homes in this Florida paradise, Deborah joined Lisa McBride’s Sarasota Neighborhood Experts team at the start of 2022.  

In her spare time, Deborah enjoys spending time with her family and friends, boating, traveling, landscaping, and home decorating and remodeling.
